Do You Own A Coffee Machine?
It is really hard to find a history of coffee that everyone agrees on. There are quite a few different versions floating around about how we first discovered we could make a drink from the seed of the Coffea plant. One thing that is clear though is that no matter where coffee first came from them around the world we all love to drink it. It is hard to know if you can trust the figures, but a quick check online seems to suggest we drink as many as two billion cups of coffee around the world every day!
Pretty much every country has people who enjoy this drink, but some cultures enjoy it far more than others and certainly Western countries seem to love it more than most. Brazil remains the world’s largest producer with an annual production of over 2 million tonnes of the seeds known commonly as coffee beans, with countries like Colombia and Vietnam lagging far behind.
Certainly one of the appeals of coffee is the rich taste it has, and the fact it is hot so on a cold day it can warm you up, however I also think that because most people are tired and stressed out now then the fact it contains caffeine has to be a factor in its popularity too. All around the world when we wake up then you can hear people groaning and saying how tired they are and that they need a cup of coffee to get them started for the day. Some of that will be psychological but caffeine does have a very real effect on our bodies.
The reason people want caffeine to wake them up is that it is a stimulating drug and after ingestion will very quickly start to flood your body with adrenaline. The reason people keep drinking coffee all day though is that after the adrenaline wears off then suddenly you have put your body under a lot more strain and you feel even more tired, so you feel like you need another coffee to keep you going. Of course there are decaffeinated coffees that you can try if you don’t like the effect caffeine has on your body, however some people claim the process which they use to remove the caffeine can affect the taste.
The easiest way to get your coffee fix in the morning is by using a coffee machine. You can get machines which easily produce up to 8 or more cups at a time and then keep that quantity warm until you need it, which is great for large families. Or you can get smaller units which only produce a single cup. There are a lot of different options right now, although the 1 cup coffeemaker is probably the best selling kind right now (visit 1Cup-CoffeeMaker.com for more details) and Keurig are probably the most popular brand. If you think you need more than one cup at a time then that is no problem, Cuisinart produce a huge range of well loved machines with carafes that can cater for even the largest household.
